TF1 journalist Saber Desfarges is reporting that La Liga side Espanyol have made a loan offer for AS Monaco midfielder Jean Lucas (24).
Jean Lucas has played a bit-part role so far this season. The Brazilian midfielder played a more prominent role during his first season at the Principality club, but he has played a bit-part role so far this campaign.
His route to the starting XI is blocked by Youssouf Fofana and Mohamed Camara, whilst Eliot Matazo is also in competition for a starting spot.
It was reported by L’Équipe that Monaco offered Jean Lucas to Palmeiras in a swap with Danilo. However, the latter ultimately joined Premier League side, Nottingham Forest.
The former Olympique Lyonnais midfielder could yet leave Les Monégasques this month. According to Saber Desfarges, Espanyol are looking to loan the player in a deal that would include a buy option.
The player has already agreed terms with the Catalan club. Monaco, for now, are waiting before giving their response.
