Jude Bellingham

Speaking exclusively to Bild, Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl believes there will now be movement in the Jude Bellingham transfer saga now that BVB’s season has ended.

“I assume that there will now be movement,” said Kehl. “We know that the player is of great value to us, and that he has an ongoing contract with no release clause. Everything else will be revealed in the near future. We are preparing for different scenarios.”

Bellingham (19), who has a contract at Borussia Dortmund until 2025, is nearing a move to Real Madrid. As reported by Sport1’s Patrick Berger, negotiations are well advanced with the basic fee plus add-ons to be discussed. It’s possible that a deal could be finalised next week.

As reported last week, Borussia Dortmund can expect to receive around €100m plus bonuses for the England international, who scored 14 and created seven across 42 games in all competitions this season.

It’s a significant return on the €20m fee BVB paid Birmingham in 2020 with Bellingham going on to play 132 games in all competitions, scoring 24 and creating 25.
