Konrad Laimer

Bild reports that Konrad Laimer will still move from RB Leipzig to Bayern Munich in the summer despite Julian Nagelsmann no longer being in charge.

Nagelsmann pushed to sign Laimer on a free transfer from Leipzig as the midfielder could not only offer competition to Joshua Kimmich but offer other ways Bayern could potentially play with the two of them together. While the 25-year-old can also, like Kimmich, play at right-back.

There has been an agreement between Laimer and Bayern over a transfer in the summer for months now without any official confirmation on the deal. Now with Thomas Tuchel in charge, the future of the Austrian at Bayern may be very different.

The 25-year-old has only played 18 times for Leipzig this season as he missed the majority of games before the World Cup break with a ligament tear.

Leipzig are already prepared for the departure of Laimer as they have agreed on a deal to sign Nicolas Seiwald from Red Bull Salzburg in the summer.
