Croatian rising midfielder star Lovro Majer, is drawing major attention from several large clubs in Europe’s biggest leagues.
According to RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins, one of those clubs is Atlético Madrid. It is also being reported that the Rennes midfielder has interest from unnamed Serie A and Premier League clubs.
It was speculated that PSG would want to bring in the heir to Croatia’s midfield. However, Hawkins is reporting that the capital club have not position themselves for the 25-year-old midfielder, nor did his agent meet with PSG’s Luis Campos.
It also seems that Rennes does not want to let their playmaker go this season. With that position, they will ask for around 40M€ to let him leave the club.
The Bretons’ desire to keep him is more than understandable – as a player, he is the heartbeat of the Rennes midfield and a complete footballer. Outside of his ball distribution, he is a highly technical player who can score and cover space to assist the defense. As a Croatian midfielder, the comparisons to Luka Modrić are easy to make but warranted.
