Levante have made a request to the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to play their first home match of the LaLiga Santander season, against Real Madrid on October 4, at Villarreal’s Estadio de la Ceramica.

The home ground of Levante, the Estadi Ciutat de Valencia, is currently being redeveloped and the work will not be finished before October 4.

If there is no delay in the construction work, Levante expect to be able to host Celta Vigo on Matchday 7 at the end of October.

Work on the Ciutat de Valencia began in April when it was confirmed that games would be played behind closed doors.

During the remaining weeks of last season, Levante played their home games at the Estadi Camilo Cano, 140 kilometres away in La Nucia.
