Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno Espirito Santo has admitted that the club needs to sign an additional attacking player following their 3-1 loss to Manchester City.

Nuno insists it is of utter importance to fill the void that Diogo Jota has left in the squad after he penned a move to Liverpool.

On the other hand, Wolves also lost their top defender Matt Doherty to Tottenham Hotspur after being with the side for ten years.

“It’s about having a squad with solutions,” Nuno said as quoted by Reuters.

“We feel that the players performing in that position on the pitch give us a lot of quality but at the same time we need to improve so we can be more clinical in the final moment.

“Before the transfer window closes we must improve our squad … we must balance it better, we’re working on it.”

Wolves recently retained the services of Matija Sarkic, Fabio SilvaFernando Marcal, Vitinha and Ki-Jana Hoever and will be hoping to bolster upfront if they are to keep up with the opposition this season.
