English Premier League giants Liverpool might be forced to recall keeper Loris Karius from his loan spell at Union Berlin.

Karius has had a terrible start to life in Germany after spending his last outing with Besiktas last season with the player making his first appearance for the club on Tuesday in a cup tie, after a dismal start to his loan spell.

German publication Kicker now reports that the 27-year-old deal at Union might be cut prematurely due to his lack of game time and will still remain as a backup keeper despite being between the sticks when his side lost 3-2 to Paderborn in the DFB Pokal on Tuesday night.

Should he return, the German will probably be the fourth choice keeper at Liverpool with the trio of  Alisson Becker, Caoimhin Kelleher, and Adrian all above him in the pecking order.
