The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have confirmed a brand new face will take over the FA’s presidency.
Outgoing president Ahmad Ahmad has been ruled out after multiple charges of financial misconduct and corruption.
The FA also revealed that two candidates are officially in the running:
- Mr Augustin Emmanuel Sengor (Senegal)
- Mr Jacques Bernard Daniel Anouma (Cote d’Ivoire)
Candidates due for final checks:

- Dr Patrice Motsepe (South Africa)
- Mr Ahmed Yahya (Mauritania).

Meanwhile, the elections will be officially contested in March 2021.
