Former PSG manager Thomas Tuchel is taking a flight to England to begin his new life at English giants Chelsea.
As reported by The Athletic’s David Ornstein, the 47-year-old German will sign an 18-month contract that includes a one-year option.
“Thomas Tuchel due to fly to London from Paris at lunchtime — plan is to take Chelsea training this afternoon. Initially bringing 3 staff & hoped on bench v #WWFC. Done deal: 18mnth contract + 1yr option either side can activate,” Ornstein reported.

Meanwhile, it is unclear if Tuchel will be on the bench when Chelsea welcome the feisty Wolves to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night in a league game.
“The 47-year-old will initially enter with three staff members. COVID-19 tests and work permits have been sorted to enter the Chelsea bubble,” added the report.
