Haaland

It feels like he’s been scoring goals at the top level for a long time, but just two years ago Erling Haaland was plying his trade at Molde in Norway.

He then moved to Red Bull Salzburg and later to Borussia Dortmund, where he’s currently scoring an average of one goal per game.

Haaland’s value now is nearing 100 million euros, which is quite incredible considering that he was signed by Salzburg for just eight million euros, while Dortmund paid 20m euros for his services.

Real Madrid looked at him during his time in Norway, but instead they opted for the Brazilian market, signing Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo Goes and Reinier Jesus. The strangest decision, however, was to sign Luka Jovic instead of the young Norwegian in 2019.

Those at the Bernabeu know that Dortmund don’t want to sell Haaland at the moment, but if and when they do, Florentino Perez will be the first to know.

The excellent relationship between the two clubs means Real Madrid have a distinct advantage over other potential suitors.

Another person who could play a big role in any move is Mino Raiola. The agent, who has a good relationship with the club, is looking to do big business with Los Blancos and knows Haaland is a target.
